Business as usual

The past week’s been pretty busy here at MacRae and Kaur. We’ve helped two business clients with relocations, closed a few nice transactions and seen plenty of offers come in for our residential customers.

Here’s a quick round-up:

  • After almost ten years in Clydebank, specialist hair stylists EHG moved to Crow Road. We were happy to help secure their new lease and wish them all the very best in their new location.
  • From heads to toes… International medical podiatrist Margaret Dabbs is opening her first salon in Glasgow in the not-too-distant future, with a little help from us. We can’t wait to visit for some little piggy pampering!
  • Still on the commercial side, we’ve successfully completed a few transactions in the past week, including a remortgage for an existing customer, the purchase of an investment property (complete with tenant) in Dennistoun’s Hanson Park and the disposal of a no-longer-needed business premises.

If all that wasn’t enough, we’ve had several offers in for residential clients – so much for the traditional selling slowdown at this time of year!

We also had an interesting situation with a client who wanted to remortgage. The Royal Mail’s version of the property address was different from Edinburgh City Council’s, which caused some confusion in some of the paperwork. But with excellent help from the council’s street naming team (who knew there was such a thing?) we got it sorted and completed the remortgage process. So the client got what they wanted and we learned something new!

Hope you’ve enjoyed this little round up. I’ll be dropping one in from time to time – how about joining me? Send me a little round up or story or interesting anecdote from your week, and we’ll pop it in as a guest post. I’d love to hear from you!
